Richmond Family Place is a Family Resource program that offers Drop in Programs for families with children ages 0-12 years old. Our mission is to ‘Ensure Every Child in Richmond Reaches Their Full Potential’. We empower and strengthen children and families through innovative prevention and support programs.

Our Family Support Workers help support and guide care givers and children as they play together and are also able to help you navigate any of your parenting questions. They are knowledgeable about community resources and can direct you to information and services within the greater Richmond Community. Richmond Family Place is a membership based organization. We ask all families to become members (talk to our staff when you first visit). Membership fees help us to pay for our building costs and keep our playrooms stocked with great quality resources. Membership costs $25 a year per family (or Pay-What-You-Can). We
don’t want membership costs to be a barrier for anyone, so talk to staff if you need a little help!

Our playrooms are open! We will continue to prepare our outdoor spaces for play & exploration while offering an option for indoor play.

Our playrooms will look a little different than before the pandemic. Adhering to our Health & Safety protocols has caused us to adapt and change our environment. We appreciate your patience and adaptability as we navigate the ongoing challenges. A portion of every program will include outdoor activities and so it is still really important to make sure that all family members are dressed for outdoor play.

Here is what you need to know before joining us indoors:

• All adults and children, 5 years old and up, will be required to wear a face mask while in programs (indoors and out)
• Families will continue to enter the programs through the side gate before entering the playrooms. **NEW** You will find a doorbell located outside the fence. Ring the bell and a staff will come and assist you with sign in, health questions & hand sanitizing.
• There will be a 35-person maximum capacity in the playrooms (children & adults combined). When the program is full, a **STOP** sign will be posted outside the garden gate and in front of the main doors to let families know the program is full.
• There will be no food allowed in the programs (indoors & out) at any time. Families are responsible to provide their own water bottles.
• There will be no access to other areas inside the main building, except the washrooms.
• Please dress for the weather. All programs will include outdoor time.
• All programs held in city community centres and libraries require proof of vaccination.
