Apply to join the Richmond Hospital Breastfeeding Action and Awareness Committee
Vancouver Coastal Health is recruiting family advisors for the Richmond Hospital Breastfeeding Action and Awareness Committee. This committee is supporting making Richmond more baby friendly, including promotion and support of breastfeeding.
Every two months, members from Richmond Hospital and Richmond Public Health meet to discuss Breastfeeding awareness and promotion. The ultimate goal of the committee is to help Richmond Hospital become a “Baby Friendly Hospital”.
The team is committed to including the voices of families in their work. They are recruiting 1 – 2 advisors to be a part of the committee and are looking for parents/caregivers who have breastfed their babies within the past 5 years and who support breastfeeding of. Advisors from the Asian community are encouraged to apply.
Meetings are held every two months at Richmond Hospital, and future dates and times are set at the meetings.
