Join us for the Richmond Early Years Fair
Head over to Garry Point Park on Saturday, July 7th, from 9:00am to 1:00pm for the Richmond Early Years Fair at Community in Motion
The Richmond Early Years Centre is thrilled to be part of Community In Motion, an annual family-friendly event that promotes active living and community involvement, while raising money for local charities. This year's event will feature an Early Years Fair including a wide range of fun, interactive activities for young children. Join Richmond Public Library for an interactive StoryWalk around the park and sing, dance and groove with Music with Marnie, four-time winner of the West Coast Families Readers’ Choice Gold Award for best children's band!
Richmond Early Years Program and Services will also be available to share resources and information about child care, early learning programs, physical literacy, child health and development, and more! Come and meet the friendly folks from Richmond Family Place, Family Services of Greater Vancouver, Richmond Child Care Resource & Referral Centre, the City of Richmond Physical Literacy Program, Vancouver Coastal Health, Richmond School District, and more. The Richmond Early Years Centre will also be on site with information about all the ways you and your family can stay active and connected this summer.
This is a free event open to all. While we hope to see lots of families having fun and being active, you do not need to take part in the community walk, run or bike ride to attend the Early Years Fair.

More about Community in Motion:
Community in Motion is about two things: getting active and getting involved in your community
To get you active, we've created three different routes – 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km – around Garry Point and along the West Dyke Trail. You can walk, run, or bike any of the routes, and do so at your own pace. Once you're finished, we'll provide you with a healthy snack!
But we also want to grow your appetite for community involvement. As such, a number of Richmond non-profit organizations will be in attendance, providing information on their services, as well as their volunteer opportunities and other ways you can lend your support. We have no doubt you'll find an organization – and a cause – that resonates with you!
Plus, there will be fun activities like face painting, a community treasure hunt, and an Instagram photo booth!
There's no fee to take part in Community In Motion, though we are encouraging attendees to each make a $1 donation, on the day of the event. This money will be divided among the participating organizations.
