Through our recent Parent Survey and focus groups, parents, grandparents and caregivers of young children in Richmond told us that while there is a lot going on in our community, it's not always easy to find the information. Families told us they wanted to see the RichmondKids.ca calendar include more up-to-date information and to be more user-friendly.

We are listening! Over the last few months, we have been hard at work updating the calendar to better meet the needs of families. The new calendar puts Early Years Centre and other community events in one place, lets you see daily, weekly and monthly events at-a-glance, and allows users to filter programs and activities by the type of event they are looking for.

The new "Featured Events" section on our homepage allows you to see upcoming community celebrations, parent workshops, and other special events so you can mark your calendars in advance.  "News for Parents and Caregivers" is where we tell you about the latest research in early childhood, provide tips on parenting and healthy child growth and development, and share information about new early years programs and services in Richmond.
